Hi sleepygirl,
Keep in mind I can't recall ever being happy, so feeling bad about myself is normal thinking for me.
I base all my self esteem on career and can't get a job that uses my brain and acknowledges my brain with a decent wage. I understand your graduate degree not making you someone of "privilege." When I think "privileged" I see someone who gets a job because they have the right connections, not because of their skills and/or education.
I'm obviously obsessed with keeping up with people who are career successes. My T is always telling me that no one sees me as a career failure- I've been steadily employed my entire adult life. It's me who believes I can't keep up.
Who are you trying to keep up with? What do they have that you really don't? Sorry if I sound like my T, guess she influences me more than I want to admit. LOL.
