> I quit 16 years ago, but I still chew nicotine gum. I can't stop. My doctor tells me not to worry about it. Nicotine itself is addictive but fairly harmless. It's the smoke and additives in cigarettes that cause cancer and emphysema and COPD. So I hope this is all true. I've tried chewing regular gum but I really want that shot of nicotine. I'm not much of a coffee user at all.
thats funny. i tried to get hooked on the gum but couldn't really get into it. it helped ease the craving while i was quitting but quitting the gum was easy. it gave me an upset stomach and horrible buggy eyed anxiety feeling.
i swears there is something else (chemically) addictive in cigarettes...
