i was just browsing the web, and i found out about this. It was called the philadelphia experiment, it was in WWII with albert einstein planning a way to teleport a ship to virginia doc then teleport back. What happened after that was....the crew that was on that ship was fused to the walls, and the ship. When the moleculary teleported, the crew was molded into the ship, at the molecual level. When they rematerilized, they were fused into the ship, you could see them inside the walls, and not just inside, thery were attached molecualy to the steel. And there was other terrible things that happened to the crew. They made a movie called event horizen (1997) it was about a ship called event horizen that was going to go through portal to neptune or uranus, what happened to them after that was very similar to the philadelphia experiment. I think that's where they got the...part of the story. This is link about it.
