so level 2 and level 3 (second to last year and last year of high school)
presently there are 3 'art' subjects.
NCEA photography
NCEA print making
NCEA something else that is basically art.then there will be art history.
that's 4 subjects. 5 subjects is a normal standard or typical workload.
so that is to say that studnets can say they graduated high school from nz basically... by only doing art.
that is to say... no reading writing or arithmetic (with the possible exception of art history -- though i passed it back in the day by doing little more than accurately naming a few paintings including the mona lisa).
.....
they go 'our arts studnets are not good at science'
yeah.
they aren't allowed to do anything other than art. you got them. right. you got them good.
do you tell your arts studnets that if they want to be paid to do art in nz they best to law or accounting degrees so they can apply for the government funding.
do you tell your arts studnets that art is mostly about money laundering. if they marry someone who needs to be paid... they can buy one of your things that you made.
right?
the valuators will play along.
course they will.
i understand now why things are valued the way tehy are.
given certain values that many people lack.
our leaders, particularly.
