Sebastion:

Hi. I believe the only person who can tell you whether or not your an alcoholic is yourself. Only you truly know.

For myself, I didn't drink everyday, I didn't lose family, material things, etc. But, I did lose my spirit. So, the question I had to ask myslef was how did drinking make me feel? The next day, anyway.

I am an alcoholic, but I know of many who are more and less severe than myself. From school, I believe there are 3 stages of alcoholism: the beginning, the middle, and the chronic. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. But, I think that's how they're classified.

It could be you were just a situational abuser who was lucky to stop before you crossed the line. This would be someone who drinks heavily for a period of time usually due to some negative event in one's life, then is able to recover from that without moving into chronic alcoholism.

Hope this helps in some way.
Take Care,
Arrianna
