Adding my agreement to the post by Festus-- the benzos really are remarkably safe and effective meds IF they are prescribed and taken responsibly.
If you think you need them, just be aware that they are supposed to be a short term thing for most people, even though some (my mom, for instance) has taken a tiny dose for sleep every night for 3 years now.
Bottom line is that the biggest part of "addiction" is the fact that you cannot control your usage. Given a 30 day supply of Klonopin, my mom's lasts thirty days, whereas some people would have an empty bottle in a week or less. Benzos can be okay if you have a doctor who knows what he's doing and is alert for signs of escalating usage ("lost" Rx excuses and such.)
Just wanted to stick up for the benzos- when I hear of people who've had problems with them, I blame their doctors, not the meds themselves. Good luck to those who are having problems with them and trying to stop. I'm an alcoholic in early recovery, so I can sympathize with the difficulties of getting off a drug.

> Just playing Middle-man here, facts are that this person may need a short-term Rx for Benzos, but you get that decided by your Dr.This Forum does not allow folks to"solicit"or"seek out"drugs from others,so it most likely bothered a lot of others,as well, to see this this mis-guided individual,s feeble attempt to"score".We do hope that you get your Rx for Benzos,if that is what your Physician thinks would benefit you,but do it right!Festus
