Wow - I don't know how I missed seeing this post.

cravings .....

white noise and reading are good.

meditation works sometimes.

sometimes (ok, a lot of time) I get lost in computer games.

deep breaths.

play it through in your head, from the first drink (ahhhh) to the last one hours later, to the guilt and the hangover and the horrors of knowing you have to start all over again.

and sometimes you just have to ride it out. 'one day at at time' turns into 'one minute at a time'

but know they get fewer and further between and shorter in duration and lower in intensity.
