Hi all,
I know it thas been sometime since I last posted..(family wedding and all that entails)
I hate to keep "singing the same old song", but I am afraid this is still going on.
I just finished physical therapy for my back, and it feels pretty good. However, my knees and foot have begun to flare up again! I have not taken any Vicodin in several days, but if the knees get worse, I probably need to take it again.
I had to call the doctors's office for a refill on my Ativan yesterday (I take 0.5mgm in the afternoon and one 0.5mgm at bedtime if I need it. The afternoon dose helps to take the edge off the nausea and jitters caused by my Strattera)
Anyway -- my regular doc was off so the operator was to have given him the message this AM.
I requested a refill on the Ativan to be called in to the pharmacy, and a written Rx for Vicodin to be mailed to me so I can have it IF I NEED IT for any of my arthritis problems (back, knees, foot, shoulder)
Then, this AM I get a call from another doctor in the practice (there are ten of them) mine had a family emergency. This guy really reamed me out for asking for "controlled substances" without being seen in the office first. (I WAS seen a month ago when pretty much the same thing happened and at that time, got a script with no trouble once THAT doc read the x-ray report on my back!) Now, this guy who called won't write for EITHER one; and when I asked to talk with someone else he told me no, that he wouldnt support "Doctor shopping or med seeking"
Sorry, I know that this is long, but this whole thing is so depressing -- where do I go from here??
Don't some people take Vicodin regularly and not have this war all of the time?? I have never abused it and usually take only one or two a day sometimes none -- I want to scream!!! Mama
