Hi Ladrhiana, I was prescribed Lamictal for mood swings, but I have some borderline traits like strong tendencies to rage. While I was taking benzos Lamictal worked fine - brilliant in fact. Kept my mood rock solid, but when I was forced to withdraw from benzos I found it made my anger/irritability worse. I was losing my temper all over the place and wanted to kill people etc. It also made my insomnia worse so that I hardly slept.

Good luck with the Lamictal/benzo combo.
