Will benzo's stop the AD effect of Ketamine????

Posted by rovers95 on February 11, 2007, at 10:28:04

Am i right in thinking that benzo's only increase GABA, so although they increases the GABA/glutamate ratio in the brain they do not actually reduce the amount of glutamate stimulating the NMDA receptor.

Therefore, am i also right in thinking that klonopin would no way interfere in the NMDA antagonistic effects of Ket and therefore its antidepressant effects???

has anyone used a combo of benzo and ket ( i no some anaesthetists do!)

thanks

mark
