Marijuana - Psychiatric benefits?

Posted by b0rderline86 on April 29, 2007, at 2:35:25

Lately i have been adding small doses of marijuana (smoked) to my allready standing lexapro and small dose largactil. I obviously know there are cons to marijuana use but thats not what i want to hear about. I want to hear about any positive pro's to using small doses of marijuana in the evening to help me wind down. I have read info about mood stabilizing effects, but i guess im just lookin for some more information on anything that anyone knows about using marijuana in small doses and what its benefits could be from a psychiatric point of view. For me i have a long standing relationship with substances, i usually have 3-4 beers every night, when i smoke small amounts of weed, i dont drink at all and dont even crave it. So im in a debate, which would be more helpful. alcohol or cannabis? Any input would be highly appreciated.
THANX!
