Positive feedback wanted.
I am somewhat nervous. Because I want to continue increasing my topamax to 200 mg, my pdoc wants to decrease my effexor from 75 mg to 37.5. I have been on effexor for 2 years. At this level for at least a year that I can remember (at 150 I think before that). My mood has been so messed up until now, I don't recollect any problems with the earlier decrease. But I have read all the problems many of you have had decreasing or quitting effexor.
So I need a positive story or two. Anyone out there made a slight decrease without trouble? Just an encouraging word or two would help alleviate some of the fear. I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
AKC

AK
I haven't been on as long as you. The temp and humidity has been high here, add sweating from the effexor, and as a result I've lowered my dosage by 75mg. Felt great to have an orgasm!

didn't even have to tell you who my partner was! (The shock may have been too much.)
I do have a suggestion: Go on the 37.5 and if you get any withdrawal add another dose whenever you notice the symptoms. You may need to take a dose every 18 hours instead of 24 for a couple of weeks. Make any sense?

>Those are two good ideas -- I'll try them both.
Thanks a lot.
