I just took my Symbyax - Zyprexa

Posted by rjlockhart98 on July 12, 2005, at 21:42:44

I feel calm, sort of a peace. My thougths seem very stable VERY stable.

But i dont feel like doing things, like some natural spontanous stuff, i sort of feel froze.

Ok, this is, i am slowed i bit. This is 6mg of Zyprexa, this is a moderate dose. I feel ok, i dont feel much diffrent, well i do feel alot more less extreme to make a post.

I dont want to really take this, becuase right now i feel im tuned out. I still am myself, but calmer, my thoughts that are usally cycling are gone.

I dont think i am psychotic at all. But at times i get in states where i feel so extreme, or "full" i can do anything, my mind will go places where it has never been.

Collage is starting soon, this is going to be complicated. Stimulants do help, i dont have any agrevation at all! its when i dont take it. Do you think there can be a way i take something during the day and then take zyprexa at night. I dont want to stay on this combination, by itself.

Is 6mg alot?

does anyone else here take Zyprexa?

Matt, Remember we told you you could take prozac and zyprexa separatly and fine tune a dose to suit you. Prozac is activing so take in am, zypreza sedating take in pm. And by the way what are you taking in college? What do you want to be? Fondly, Phillipa

I found college easier than high school. I almost didn't go because of my negative HS experience. Where are you going? There are pressures, but they are different. I found it to be a diffent and exciting world. And lots of girls.

warm regards ~Jake

hey! I've done the antipsychotic thing, and I'd kind of recommend that, if you're not floridly psychotic, you try another route. I'm in college, but its been a hard road, in part b/c of treatment with neuroleptics. I often found myself emotionally numb, oversedated, unable to focus/complete assignments, and then performing far under par and without the "spark" and intellectual vigor that marked my work before neuroleptic treatment and after withdrawal of the neuroleptics from my medication regimine. IF you have a tendency towards racing, crowded thoughts, Prozac may not be the antidepressant for you--in fact, you may be better off without an antidepressant. Trileptal worked reasonably well for me with fewer side effects than the neuroleptics. However, I still found that I felt "impaired" and numb; so, I've lately opted for medication-free therapy for my issues. I'm not saying you should ditch your meds by any means, but I do think that one should always be very, very selective about the medications one consumes and the side effects that you are willing to tolerate.
