NO DRUGS

Posted by Leslie Elliott on July 24, 2004, at 0:20:44

I've been thinking about taking effexor xr for deprssion/gad/sad but after doing some research and reading all the side effects I don't think I'm going to take it. I'm searching for more info though on how to get past all of this without going completely insane.
I'm going to start exercising, which I seldom do, eat right, and take supplements, but what supplements are good for depression/anxiety?

I think the thread above us, on this page, called "where to start" gets into the basics well enough. You're trying to enter a new realm of understanding, and that realm is vast. You'll pick up comprehension soon enough. Supplements can optimize how your body works, but that may not normalize every function. Diet and supplements are in your control, and you can learn to have a dialog with your body. It's really quite empowering, if you find things that help. You may still benefit from drugs. One sort of intervention does not necessarily exclude the other. Hopefully, though, you can minimize drug exposure.
