Hi,
I think I've asked this question before but can't find the thread.
I purchased some expensive EPA fish oil and took about 600mg a day. I found it to be of no benefit in helping my depression should I try increasing the amount, does anyone know what's the max you can go up to? And has anyone else found any benefit with higher doses?
This all has also DLA and GLA in it.

I don't know that there is a correct dosage. Everyone is different. I do know that 800mgs EPA taking 3 times a day is what works for me. Sounds like a lot, but any less and I feel a difference.
I'm used to it, so no big deal.
best wishes,

Here's a summary table of some of the studies and how much they used of each:

You can see there are some contradictions there.

Hi,
Thanks to both of you for bothering to respond, I'll try increasing the dose to 800 I think. I've read the studies you're right they do seem to conflict and contradict each other. But I guess it can't harm to try increasing the dose.
