N-oleolethanolamine and N-linoleoylethanolamine

Posted by linkadge on May 7, 2006, at 21:33:09

These two compounds are present in chocolate, and inhibit the breakdown of anandamide. Does anyone know of any other compounds that contain these substances ?

Other animals/flesh. Eating their organs. That's about it, as far as I have discovered.

It's also a new field of inquiry. We're starting from scratch with it. There may be some, or something sufficiently like, in some plant oils, as an example. The efficacy of essential oils must go to some inherent chemistry. I just don't we've gotten very close to figuring it out.

They're working on an anandimide reuptake inibitor, which seems to have some fairly potent anxiolotic, and antidepressant properties.

I just thought there might be some compound which contains a more concentrated source of these two ingredients. That would be amazing.

The only things that really seem to help me now, are tons of exercise, select fatty acids, cocoa powder, and the very 'occasional' toke.

Have you tried oral cannabis? You can medicate without the high, if the dose is right.

Too bad you (and the general public) can't shop where I get to shop. But you wouldn't want a diagnosis like you need to have to get the right to shop there.

I suppose you are recieving medicinal marajuanna? I also suppose the only indication for medicinal marajuanna is chronic pain, they may extend those indications.

I don't often smoke it since I have no guarentee of its safety or purity.

I have a pot smoking friend who I gave a several months worth of omega-3. He attests to the idea that he needs less pot to have the effect that he is looking for.

A number of people who smoke it, may not even be trying to get high, perhaps they are self medicating a endocannabanoid deficiancy. (although thats still a contovercial idea)

I read that stress can make the endocannabanoid system dysfunctional.

Sorry to break that thought, but chronic pain is *not* on the list. It ought to be, and thus, I am provided my supplies via a "compassion club".

If necessary, I will protect my Charter Rights to the Supreme Court level. The law, as written, is unconstitutional. The cops know it. The Attornies General know it. This is a very "above board" behind the scenes activity.

Another reason for the clubs.

I wonder if you guys are looking for the same effect, though.

It's not controversial to me. It made perfect sense to me.

I know I have PUFA-related metabolic problems because fish oil fixed them. It is no surprise to me that the effects include ones that nobody previously knew to link to that concept.

Yes, it can.

Mice lacking the cannabanoid receptors CB1/CB2 have significantly impaired neurogenesis.

Certain marajuanna based drugs also seem to promote neurogenesis.

I think that exercise induced neurogenesis is based upon activation of the endocannabadnoid system.

In addition to activation of CB-1 CB-2 receptors, certain cannabanoids like anandimide are potent 5-ht1a agonists. So it appears to me that these substances might be affecting affect neurogenesis through several pathways.

I knew, the moment I first heard the hypothesis, that there are people with disrupted anandamide signalling. I am anandamide deficient. However that comes to be, that's a big part of my own struggle.

Cannabis is a miracle drug, for me. Heaven smiled on me. I don't get high on it (although I could, I suppose). I get well on it.
