A babbler over at the babble board said i should consider l-theanine to potentiate my antidpressants, which are nortriptyline, remeron and lamictal. I have not recovered from my depressive episode yet.
So now i wonder which of all amino acids are thought to help against depression? There's a lot of them.
Supps that i currently take is magnesium, b-vitamins, omega3 and folic acid. Also any specific vitamin or mineral that may help? Thanks,
Mattias

Yes zinc, some research has shown that zinc makes antidepressants more effective. Also low plasma levels of zinc have been found in depressed patients. I know every one goes on about magnesium, but zinc concentrations are high in some areas of the brain associated with depression. Also take zinc at night on a empty stomach, doesnt absorb well with other minerals.
