Rhodiola great

Posted by Mcanxious on November 27, 2006, at 13:48:44

hello i am having very good results with rhodiola and i am a little shocked to be honest at how effective they are working for my social anxiety, depression, motivaion, energy, confidence much more so than ssris (zombie) and benzos (sucidal depression). i know there is a problem with poop out with rhodiola and was wondering could any one tell me what the cycle is suppose to be.

i have read in some places it is two weeks break after 4 months but have also heards of a two week break after six months, six weeks and four weeks.

does any body know what the correct cycle should be as i am approching four weeks soon.

thanks in advance

Hey! Yes, its a good herb isn't it?

I took rhodiola for 3 months straight without a break. Or did I take a break? I can't remember. Check out "rhodiola revolution" Its pretty helpful.
What dose/what brand are you taking? I found it quite good too, although it made me quite anxious at times.

Kind regards

Meri

hi meri

i take new chapters rhodiolaforce100, which i believe is one of the better ones well this is the info i got from kellys st johns wort forum.

Was you anxious all the time on the rhod or did this kick in later, i was anxious for just under two weeks until they kicked in. i hear that upping the dose can have a sedating effect more than a stimualting effect perhaps you could try this?

Hey, thats exactly what I took. I'm the same Meri-Tuuli BTW, I think I also posted on the kelly's sjw.org site as well. Anyway yes I perhaps should have thought about upping the dose, but it somehow seem counterintuitatve (excuse the spelling). But I've kinda put it on the shelf now. I'm very scared about taking supplements! So we'll see what happens. Right now, my aniexty is my biggest thing, so I don't what to take anything that might make it worse. But its interesting that it made your anxiety better, after the intial start up effects....

Kind regards

Meri

I'm a big fan of Rhodiola as well. I've been taking 300mgs. of the New Chapter and it has helped me significantly with anxiety, depressed mood and low energy. It's a good herb.

I'm currently in the middle of my third month of taking the Rhodiola. I also have read about breaks and what I've read is a 3 month on 1 month off schedule seems to work so I plan on taking at least 2 weeks off after I finish this bottle. I say 2 only because I don't know how I'm going to feel off the rhodiola and I might not want to go the whole 4 weeks. I don't know though, I still feel really good, the stimulation is gone and I have to admit I miss it so I guess I'll stop it and hope that I regain that but really the stuff hasn't stopped working in regards to mood at all. I guess the breaks are to prevent poop-out but I'm also hesitant to mess with something that is working considering the stories I've read of other people taking breaks from herbs like St. Johns Wort and after restarting they cannot regain the effect they once had. Though, admittedly from what I've read Rhodiola doesn't seem to have that problem.

yes tenman this is what worries me about taking a break that is why perhaps a two week break after four weeks is the way to go. i am going to do this and i will let you know what the effects are.

That's wonderful news that you are having success with Rhodolia! It is encouraging to hear. If you don't mind my asking, could you please tell me how long you have been taking it, how much you are taking and how long it took for you to see some results?

Thanks so much, and I wish you continued relief with the Rhodiola.
