here are a couple of suggestions:
l-phenylalanine 100-500 mg. taken sublingually can really spark up the day.
gingko biloba increases blood circulation to the brain. (personally it just makes me dizzy)
I find spirulina to be very energizing and it gives me an almost caffeine like buzz.
the racetam family: piracetam, oxiracetam, aniracetam, etc. these can be very good for waking up in the morning. (I am very chemically sensitive, and have found that oxi and ani are too strong for me so I use piracetam. but others find piracetam too weak
hope this helps

> I appreciate your replysure, I hope that one or more of these works for you. they are pretty cheap and fast acting, so experimenting should be easy. I thought of a couple more to try:
korean ginseng extract can be pretty warming, energizing and stimulating.
the methylcobalamin form of b12 taken sublingually can also be stimulating/energizing.
Adrenal Caps from Solaray I've been taking 1 or 2 of these in the morning for about a month and I really like them.
good experimenting,
