Hello, I frequently have bad dreams, some midly disturbing and other nightmares.
Do you know any supplements that can prevent them?. I do not rest well when I have them.
Melatonin make it worse. Valerian does not help much it seems, Neither magnesium. Maybe benzos reduce them but not too much.
Thanks

My ex g/friend suffers from bad dreams, I would suggest L-Tryptophan or 5-HTP. She had some success with 5-HTP.
Bruni, O., et al. l-5-Hydroxytryptophan treatment of sleep terrors in children. Eur J Pediatr. 2004.
Personally I prefer L-Tryptophan, I had a sleep disorder a month ago, and it helped.

I have had 2 things that consistently give me very vivid and bad dreams - 1. Melatonin (which you said too) and 2. Vit B6 (P-5-p) - bad stuff - so if you are taking that, you might want to reconsider.
