i'm finally starting to get ahang of these things, reading books i enjoy, hot bubble bath painting my nails in funky ways, even enjoying ice cream. (a little too much lately)
anyway, i think it helps me to not self injure most of the time but now i'm getting comments from my husband that i'm 'self absorbed' and everything i do is for myself. it seems i can't win.do any of your S.O. do/say this.? what do you say?

i've never had an SO say that, but i've never really had a particularly long-lasting stable relationship, either.
i wish your husband would understand. it's almost like you could tell him "would you prefer i painted my nails or SI?" and see what he says. jeez.
i think you should divorce him and marry me. ;)
didn't have much time, i was just popping in. but i wanted to say i was thinking of you.

> b2c.I say do what you need to do at the time so you don't hurt yourself. Man if somethings works do it. I'm somewhat sliced and ashamed. Riding my bike helps me ALOT if I can get away. But my husband doesn't like to have to come home early to put the kids to bed so I can ride (evenings are the worst for me). Sometimes I just like to drive. I think my man thinks I'm S.O. too. Especially when I'm stressed as I am now. Sometimes Hubbys just don't get it. I like mine but he can be a beanbrain sometimes. Thx.
