she ran away. I was feeling so proud of her over something and I quite spontaneously went to 'hug' her, just like I do with my IRL kids, and she dissappeared. Why do you suppose 'I' can't hug her? I know she HATES touch, but from me?
It kinda made me feel bad.....:(

I wonder if your inside kid wants you to understand how strict her boundaries are, and wants you to verbalise your love and comfort.
Of course it hurts… but it’s one of the few ways she has of asserting herself. She probably just wants to be understood…

sounds like you have a very fiesty kid there muffled! Maybe there's someone inside who can nudge her and let her know how much you love her and want to care for her?

My kid is major feisty, but I admire that about her. We getting along ok. It was just so shocking to me when I was so full of happy and caring and she was happy and POOF soons I tried to touch her 'physically' as it were, she was so gone. It was weird. Still can't quite get used to the idea that I don't control her completely. Its very strange.

Maybe you should start with giving her a Teddy Bear to hug (ofcourse figuratively speaking). Human beings might be scary to hug !!
