Folks,
The past two times I've used cocaine I've gotten a neckache (right hand side, back of the neck), and a headache on the same side. Might this be indicative of something more serious, or is it nothing to worry about? It's the kind of pain such that you might experience sleeping awkwardly in bed for a prolonged period of time.
Anyhow -- I am in relatively good shape, go to the gym regularly, eat moderately well, and have done cocaine about five times in two months after a couple years off. Aside from that itself, obviously a problem, anything to worry about re: that pain? Like, I can't really turn my head to the left easily. Is this a symptom of a cocaine induced heart or cardiovascular problem? An aneurysm not yet burst, or something worse?
Curiously, would that patter of usage be classified as recreational, moderate, or heavy, according to the literature? (Each time has been 1 g [cut] or less, over the period of a few hours [not days].)
Thanks in advance.
amd
P.S. Drug addition sucks.

Drug addition sucks.hello amd, good to see you...i am going out on a limb here in asserting that there are no publications concerning cocaine use and neckache...let me suggest an experiment to rule out your hypotheses: stop doing cocaine for a bit and see if the troubles disappear. if they do, refrain from cocaine use. if they do not, refrain from cocaine use, purchase a new pillow, and visit your GP. all the best, chemist

> euphoriaphobics are everywhere!hello there, chemist here....just a suggestion based upon the the narrative...it seems likely to me that if, upon ingestion of any substance, unpleasant side effects present, then one ought not to ingest the substance.
the impurities in cocaine are cause for worry, and incarceration is equally unpleasant, i would imagine.
and for the record, i feel that the implication that i am a ``euphoriaphobic'' is unwarranted: you do not know me, and i choose to take medication prescribed by a licensed physician, dispensed by a qualified pharmacy, manufactured with sufficient QA/QC, and deemed legal in my country of residence (u.s.).
all the best, chemist

Another reason AMD should lay off - the following two things from his post:
"nd have done cocaine about five times in two months after a couple years off. Aside from that itself, obviously a problem, "
and
"P.S. Drug addition sucks."

AMD...you seem pretty smart and I'm just wondering why you keep doing coke if you know all the possible effects of it and worry about it all the time...is it really worth the trouble?? no offense or anything...I finally gave up meth completely. I wasn't hard core into it but used it about as much as you use coke and I kind of "lost the point" if you follow...

I'm not sure why I use it, but it's clearly addictive behavior. I mean, I feel miserable, recover, feel good for about a week, and then go out and do it again as if I've "erased" that part of my memory where I stored its negative implications.

I know this is stupid but why don't you use a little less at the time? I mean I'd like a snort and a couple of drinks right now I guess. But as it's not an option.....Apparently people who chew coca leaf (chronically) have surprisingly high blood cocaine levels, given the lack of ill effect.
