IM MALE 34, I WANT TO THANK ALL OF YOU WHO WROTE BACK ,JANEB, LIL JIM, JAYNEE,DRAGONSLAYER, AND MANY MORE YOUR ALL GOOD FRIENDS AND EVERYONE OUT THERE HELPING EACHOTHER ILL PRAY FOR ALL OF YOU AND WISH ALL OF YOU THE BEST,remeber one thing my great (past ) mom once said "trust me its not going to hurt you its only your mind thoughts ,you can beat it ,mind over matter" be strong everyone and we will all conquer this we all need eachother as friends,thanks dr bob for this helpfull site ,have a great day my friends "everyday"male 34

You are most welcome for any support I have offered. I am glad you find it helpful. I have followed you for a while and watched the hills and valleys we all experience. You aren't alone in your struggles and somehow that helps most of us to know we are not alone. Support is what this place is about and when it works in that fashion, it's great.
You will find what works for you, I know you will, as you are determined to advocate for yourself and you seek answers. You are a good person and this anxiety problem does have a treatment.

im not cured yet anxiety since 4th grade now 34 ,started meds 2 years ago struggling on and off ssris ,i refuse to loose! ill cure this daily anxiety suffering I promise you guys I will,My son and stepkids and wife need me to,and friends and encouragement from you fuels my fire ,I m here for you friends-also,---thanks 1000X's over your the best, your friend male 34!

I saw in your below post 'I'll refuse to lose'. That is a top attitude- something we all have to keep mind of- even when we are in the dark moments. Your Mum was a smart lady- we have to be stronger than our thoughts. We are not our thoughts , we are the creator of our thoughts. I hope, and know with your perseverance, your anxiety will be banished in the future.

man, i can not say enough about your great dedication and determination .... ..... just awesome ... .... ... and ace-man is right on about your mom, this is so "... it's only your mind thoughts ... " !!!
... and again ace is on it when he speaks, "We are Not our Thoughts" !!!!! .. .. ..i had never had anxiety ... never had a panic attack ... ...
man, i never knew what anxiety was until i took lexapro ... .... ...
... .... ... a bad acid trip was worse, but this was different ... ... like a buliding up of nervousness and sweating and twicthing, weezeing that won't let me breathe , head pounding ... ...... ... then i watched it go away ... on its own ... ... this happened maybe a dozen times ... each time it would go away ... .... i would just be able to wait it out and it would fade ... .... after the first week on lexapro it went away and hasn't happened since ... ....
... .... then i recognized that some of the posters on this board .... FELT LIKE THAT ALL THE TIME!!!!!!!!!!
i been on lex since march and 10mg has been pretty good taking care of my depression ... ... i'm doing alright ... my wife and boy are good for me and make everything worthwhile ... .... it's so true that our families need us to be well for them ... ... and they needs us to be well for us !!
it's a big mind storm roaring out here and we just got to ride it out ... .. sometimes we have to rock out with it ....
... ... and sometimes we need to be cool ... ...you guys are cool ... you know what's real ... ... we got meds to help us ... we can keep the storm at bay ... ... ... hang in there, male34 ... . hang in there ace ....
