Best AD options to combine with Zoloft?

Posted by morganator on August 27, 2009, at 2:08:05

I know there is Nortriptyline and Wellbutrin, is there anything else? I guess another would be Agomelatine.

What is the lowest effective dose of Nortriptyline? Are side effects any worse or better with higher or lower dosages?

Remeron, Abilify, Geodon, lithium. I'm sure there are more.

Usually 75mg. 150mg for rapid metabolizers. Therapeutic blood level = 50-150 ng/ml.

For me, there really is not much, if any, difference in side effects at the various dosages once the body gets used to it. Actually, if your autonomic nervous system is out of balance (dysautonomia), what are often mistaken as side effects resolve once the depression begins to improve and the autonomic balance is restored.

Wellbutrin unless you have tons of anxiety as I did when tried it. What effect are you looking for? Energy or sleep. I know ago is good for sleep and anxiety. Phillipa

Energy more than sleep. I tried wellbutrin and it gave me the shakes. I could give it another go.

Before the SR and XL versions of Wellbutrin came out, I tried regular Wellbutrin 3 times and I went psychotic each time. But now I am on the XL version and I have no anxiety or psychosis on it. Have you tried the XL version? I used to take Zoloft and Wellbutrin together ... I called the combo "Welloft". It worked for a while but then it stopped.
