> I am now taking 150 mg of effexor for GAD, panic, & depression, yet I feel it does not help the anxiety, my doctor gave the option of going to 300 mg. of effexor, yet what are the side effects at that dosage, anyone know? Pls input. Also would zoloft be better for panic & depression. I am also finding weight gain as a side effect, is there anything out there to take that won't cause this. It makes the depression worse. HELP. Thanks.
I was greatly helped by Zoloft for panic attacks. So much so that I had to finally admit that I wasn't feeling much of anything. I've switched over to Wellbutrin which has brought back some anxiety, and am now supplementing with Effexor to help with that. So if you don't mind the psychic numbness, which in my opinion, is a lot preferable to panic attacks, Zoloft is the way to go.
