Hi, Tarn:

Well, I have no experience with flupenthixol, but I empathize with the daily struggle you describe. I recently got back on meds for my depression. I tried Zoloft a few years ago and had really strong side effects. When Celexa popped on the market, a doctor friend of mine suggested I might try it. I have only been on it about a month now, and I am finally feeling a response from it.

I have been clinically depressed for about 5 years now (this episode, anyway). Some days it is a genuine struggle. I haven't felt totally overwhelmed more than once or twice since starting the Celexa. The periods of despondency haven't lasted as long nor run so deep, either. We'll see.

You know, I really wasn't going to post this because I feel that I have no real information to give you -- I have not had experience with TCAs other than amytriptyline, and I didn't take it for very long. But I didn't want you to think you were alone out there.

:-) Shelley
