Birds of a Feather Syndrome

Maybe I've lost it altogether, but I could have sworn that somewhere along my journey through mental health issues I came across something called, "Birds of a Feather Syndrome." It was when people formed cliques and seemed to sort of feed off of each other's weaknesses, anger, etc. There was reference to the fact that these folks usually had a great disdain for authority. I can't find my papers on it and wondered if anyone else had ever heard of it. May need to be a question for Dr. Bob! Thanks for any info y'all might provide.
