Hey Janice,
I've done ALOT of research on ADHD. Alot of children that have it all their childhood will "grow out of it" during puberty. (wish I had been one!) It seems that girls have a higher chance of that than boys, though. You have basically described my 6 yr old daughter whom I am hoping will also "grow out of it". Back thirty something years ago while we were all young, they didn't know about ADD or ADHD, so we were just lazy, mean, hyper, and busy. Bad kids in general. Oh, well... On the Seasonal thing, my husband was ADHD as a child and now has SAD. We use light therapy during the winter months and it has really made a huge difference! Course, I don't have it and have to wake up in the morning to 850 watts of light!!! AUGH!! Oh, well, enough babbling! Sarah....PS... good book on adult (and some child) ADD/ADHD I've found is "Driven to Distraction" Very informational
