Thanks for sharing your story. Bipolar is another disorder that runs in my family. I have always thought that once it starts, the cycles become more dramatic and more frequent. I am surprised yours took such a break between episodes.

Just in the past few years, specialists have been acknowledging the prescence of bipolar in children. Supposidly it is similar to ADHD, and one differentiating symptom is that the child's temper is often stronger and seems to last longer.

My sister changed so dramatically during a 3 year period - for the better, lucky, lucky her. Janice
