> hi, I've been taking paxil for a couple of months along with saint johns wort. I recently stopped taking the saint johns wort and I feel better without it! does this make sense? can there be some sort of negative interaction?

I've noticed the same phenomenon, except with SJW combined with various others drugs instead of Paxil. I feel a lot better the day after my very first addition dose of SJW. But then it levels off and doesn't seem to do much. When I stop taking it I get some kind of rebound effect where I feel a lot better again. Though it is short lived, I can get a good effect by either adding or dropping SJW. Continuous use doesn't help much. I have no idea why this happens, but I've done it enough times to know it's not my imagination.

When I tried SJW with Paxil I became extremely sedated. I couldn't drive my car five minutes without having to pull off the road to shut my eyes. I was surprised to see it didn't affect you that way.
