I also went cold turkey off 1000 mg depakote. I have gained about 50+ pounds over 18 months and even though I stopped nursing before starting it I continue to have sore, and engorged breasts, with discharge either milky or like colostrum. I think it is definitely related to prolactin. After 10 days of cold turkey I am less headachy (though it comes and goes) and I have not taken anything else except my paxil (80 mg) and klonipin prn. I am researching topamax to help with bipolar and ptsd symptoms but want to make sure it will have the reverse weight effect.

I am experiencing extreme headacheds and little tremors. Has anyone else withdrawn from Depakote and what where your symtoms?

These were full-body siezures that were not caused by having epilepsy. 2mgs im. of Adavan was helpful in relieving the extreme muscle tension and mixed-state pain.
