Prozac and its related SSRIs are so popular partly because it is so difficult to take an overdose of it that would cause sequelae after a short hospital stay. Simply, its hard to hurt yourself on doses of Prozac--but you can make yourself feel like shit, though.
Gabapentin, lamotrigine, and carbamazepine have more evidence to support their efficacy in mood disorders, so I wonder why your doctor chose Topiramate out of all the anticonvulsants to help you. What specific benefit could topamax give you that the others can't?
