Unfortunately, Paxil causes weight gain for many people. Prozac has helped my anxiety and depression, but does not work for anxiety on everyone. It can make it worse for some people. I have lost 5 pounds on Prozac, however and don't have that terrible anxiety and irritability. Talk this over with your doctor; it's very frustrating worrying about weight gain. I do not believe Trazodone puts weight on most people; it is used mostly as a 'sedative' at night. I have a friend on it many years [Trazodone] with Prozac, and she is quite slim. Pamelor is another matter. Good luck.
Joy> I am considering switching from Trazadone to Paxil for anxiety. I do not have depression but rather have some anxiety. I noticed that when I was taking Pamalor and now Trazadone I gained a tremendous amount of weight. Does anyone know if Paxil causes weight gain?
