I think Wellbutrin would be the next step for you. It has low incidence of drowsiness and is sometimes used to treat the sexual side-effects of SSRI's. Also, some have used it as an appetite suppressant.
> I have been on Paxil, It did wonders for my depression, but put me to sleep and lowered my libido (of course that may have been because I always wanted sleep). Switched to zoloft and had no improvement in the side effects department, plus I didn't feel as good mentally. So then my Dr. switched me to Serzone to get rid of the libido problem and fatigue, but I have these wicked side effects and my mood is still not as good as with Paxil. I get hot flashes, cold chills, nausea and "the pricklies". Plus, I cough a lot, almost like the cilia in my throat are gone. In the winter it was the worst because the cold air would shoot down my throat an cause me to gag!
> I have looked at every aspect of my personal habits, from food to sleep, to whatever, and have figured it all started when I started taking the Serzone. So now I am looking for a new drug that makes me feel as good as the Paxil, without the coma, and without the libido loss, and without the bizarre Serzone symptoms.
> I worry that SSRI's will only cause me drowsiness and loss of libido. But Serzone has been my only non-SSRI and it's been a disaster! In addition, I have been in a weight loss program at the same time as taking Serzone, and I don't want a drug that increases my appetite!

> HELP!!! I'm tired of going to the doctor and being a guinea pig. I want to be able to suggest something.
