No, it's not too nosy.
After 5 years or so it started to poop out, not work so well. I'm not sure it wasn't related to the switch to SR instead of instant-release. If I can't find anything else, I may try again with regular and not SR.

It started having benefits within 2 weeks, for me. I'd say give it a shot. And don't raise the dosage too fast.
