rmshed,
have you tried milk alternatives? I'm also dairy intolerant.
There are many varieties of soy, almond, goat etc milks available. They take a bit of getting used to, but now I prefer them. Why not have a small glass of soy milk with your evening med?

My asthma medication has to be taken 1 hour before meals or two hours after meals. My effexor needs to be taken at bedtime with food or milk. I am lactose intolerant and can't drink milk. I usually try to get in bed by 10PM. It just doesn't work for me to eat a big meal before bed. This may sound like a simple task to figure out but I am having difficulty with this. I eat a late lunch and have for 20+ years. I am not hungry at 5PM and don't always feel like rushing home to eat. Here is what I am trying to do and it is wearing me out. I take my asthma medication around 5-5:30PM, that means I can't eat until 6-6:30PM. If I eat at 7PM that is too early to take the effexor. I do not like to eat before going to bed and I especially do not like to eat when I am not hungry....dinner at 7PM and then a snack at 9:30PM or 10PM won't work. HELP!!!!!!
