Effexor withdrawal has been very intense for a lot of people here. . .Which doesn't really relate to whether it's an effective AD. I think you'll find most people who've had a relapse or two don't see continued use as a "dependency" on a med, but rather. . I use the analogy of being a mental diabetic, and these are the chemicals my brain needs supplemented, and why resist that? It needs what it needs.

Were any of these symptoms you had before? The Effexor dose you were on was not really up to AD level. . .could the depression be returning? Effexor may or may not be the med for you. . .But doesn't sound like it was administered well. Get a second opinion?
