Chloe,

I take 400mg/day as well. More does help, but I have found that I get depersonalization at higher doses (as with other Ac's). Never had much problem with sun sensitivity (even when on tricylics-phenothiazines a LONG time ago). You got *my* wheels turning about the Tegretol XR! I never tried Tegretol, just had a nasty response to the Trileptal. Who knows?

thanks for the input,
Mitch

> Hi Mitch,
> I am glad to hear that Neurontin has helped with your outbursts. I am only on 400 mgs right now, so I have a ways to go up, if I need to. I wish it gave me oily skin. It would be the perfect adjunct to Trileptal! How about the sun? Are you extra sensitive to it, too?

BUT, I was thinking, maybe the XR form of Tegretol would be good for me if the Neurontin experiment fails (Where is my pdoc in all of this? Do I have to think of everything?). It's coating would help it not get dissolved in my stomach...My wheels are turning now. Tegretal was a much better stabilizer for me anyway. I wish I had thought of this before the Trileptal switch.
