> I've been taking 50-75 mg of Zoloft and 5-10 mg of Pamelor (nortriptyline) for 8 years for chronic low-grade depression. On the whole, despite the problems with weight gain and a lessening of libido, its been a godsend. Recently, however, I asked my pyschiatrist if I could try something else -- preferably something that will help me feel as good as I do on Zoloft, but address the weight gain/libido issues. She suggested that I try Celexa. Anyone have any stories they could share?

Hello...
I take Effexor XR 225mg and 20 mg of Celexa. I have been on Effexor for about 5 months total. I started Celexa about 4 weeks ago. The reason my doctor added Celexa is because the Effexor caused me to develop anorgasmia. It has helped. Celexa has also decreased my appetite. I have read that Celexa does not have many side effects. I haven't had any at all. Let me know how it works for you!Debbie
