This is not exactly right. Moclobemide is eckoned to have seven or eight times less sensitivity to tyramine and this is considered to make it sufficiently safe. I think the trials for this were conducted at a daily dose of 600 mg. I know some people go to 900mg or even higher but the argument doesn't change that much.
However, there is some debate on whether Moclobemide is as effective as the non-reversible MAOIs like parnate. There is not much conclusive info about this comparison at the moment.
Just my opinion.
