I've been on Effexor since 1995 and the worst times for me are at night before my period. I will wake up drenched.
I have been able to reduce this by wearing a light nightshirt and less covers.
I don't think it goes away...my doctor explained it was because when you sleep, a hormone is increased and it interacts with the Effexor to create increased sweating.
