zaleplon--Cam?

Was taking Sonata 5 mg caps w/succes, sometimes even when I broke open the capsule and took less than 5, sometimes up to 2 if on ADD meds. So I got some 10 mg caps and they make me wiped out the whole next day, even if I only take half of the capsule. Has my response changed or is there something more different about the formulation of the 5 mg?
Is there any other, even shorter-acting sleeping tablet? I find the otc antihistimine kind make me hung over as well.
