That swooshing feeling you experience when you move your head or eyes side to side is a withdrawl symptom.

The first time I came off effexor, I had it for weeks. During that period, when I was fet up with the swooshing, I would simply take a small amount of effexor and the symptom would subside.

Also, I usually take the effexor in the morning but if I do not take my dose until that night I can already feel the withdrawls - nausau, dizziness and that horrible swooshing feeling when I turn my eyes side to side.

So, either you are accustomed to taking the XR version and the new bottle you purchased is the regular kind, you are not taking your effexor at regular time intervals or you are taking something that is lowering blood levels of effexor.

Hope this helps and good luck!
