Ross,Interesting cocktail. Curiously the Remeron
will have an interesting tug of war with the
Zyprexa. The alpha-2 antagonism in Remeron will
increase serotonin firing in an area of the
brain called the raphe nucleus. The alpha-1
antagonism in zyprexa (which makes you drowsy)
depresses firing of serotonin in the same area.
Both meds antagonize (block) similar sertonin
receptors (the 5ht-2 series).Good luck.
I had a nutty combo that was based on a theory
to pound away dopamine firing along a particular
path in the brain (all these meds have been
shown to increase firing in the locus coerulus
and the VTA and increase dopamine in the prefrontal
cortex..sorry for the scientfic mumbo jumbo). Here it went:
Remeron,Manerix,Selegiline,Reboxetine.
Worked awesome and fast, but it is dangerous
to combine the Remeron with the Maoi inhibitors
and I would get a racing heart when I ate the
wrong foods. I also tried taking a little
psuedoephedrine on top of this to make it a show
stopper and I got a response that was a dead
ringer to amphetamine. I stopped the med combo
because I ran out of meds. Anyways most of the
meds by themselves sucked but I figured the combo
would have massive synergy and it did.
I probably could have blown my brain away if
I added Effexor on top. ;)-john
> zyprexa--mood stabilzer.plus excellent for social anxiety
> klonopin--my benzo for anxiety and socialness
> zoloft--again A/D
> remeron--again A/D
> valium prn--just in case
> cut out neurontin in place of zyprexa. zyrexa much better for mood stab...
