> > Why do you say that MAOIs require extensive > ??????? NO DIET RESTRICTIONS on MAOIs? Wow, I am surprised you are still alive. LOL Actually, I have heard about people like you, that do crazy things like eat pepperoni pizzas on irreversible MAOIs. But I dont think you are typical. I certainly wouldnt do that.
Well it's not like I went on nardil and went out and ate a pepperoni pizza the first week. :-)
I lived with a bunch of people back then and I started tasting little bits of everything that everyone else ate with no bad results. Then I'd have some of someone else's beer and find again no bad reaction. I've heard that people have more reactions to parnate but I'm not certain.
Actually I've never even heard or read about anyone who died of a MAOI food reaction. Lots of times you can have an increase in BP (it happened to a friend of mine on nardil who drank ale once and also had a reaction from onion soup with the cheese on top), but it doesn't go high enough to put a life in peril.> Thats why Im waiting for this Selegiline MAOI patch to come out, so I can take an MAOI and still eat pepperoni pizzas. LOL
I tried selegiline orally, and it didn't have any anti-depressant effects for me.
