I had an twitch under my left eye for about 2 months before starting to take Effexor XR. I had no idea it could be related to some brain chemistry imbalance, but it did go away on the first day.
I can't tell you what it's caused by, but I saw a post a while ago that explained it. So keep asking, someone is bound to be able to tell you in some detail.
Stopping meds cold turkey is not a good idea though; you should tapper. You're lucky if the only thing bothering you is your leg.
