Abruptly stopping a benzodiazepine (Klonopin) and/or an anticonvulsant (Neurontin) may cause withdrawal symptoms including the possibility of seizures. The involuntary twitching or jerking of your leg is probably what is called "myoclonus." At times this condition can further develop into a generalized epileptic seizures.

Talk to your doctor about this problem. You may need to resume your meds then taper them down slowly.
