It helped with my mood as well as my ability to focus, and it lifted the fog (so to speak). It also helped me regulate my sleep --It didn't have the "roller-coaster" effect that sometimes goes along with short-acting drugs (such as Ritalin and Dexedrine). It was mild but effective and didn't have any side effects. >

Hi Elizabeth. Thank you for your reply. You said that Cylert didn't have the roller-coaster effect that sometimes goes along with short-acting drugs like Dex and Ritalin. Is Cylert a long-acting drug (time release)? When you were on it, did you combine it with any other meds? Was it the first medicine in its class that you had ever taken? The reason I ask is that Dexedrine was the first pstim I ever took, and I found it very difficult to switch to Ritalin after Dex. I've often thought that if I'd started with Ritalin, it would have been easier than trying to switch from Dex to Ritalin. Whenever I have made the switch from Dex to Rit, it takes a good one to two weeks of Dex-withdrawal before I can really see what Ritalin is doing on its own.
Thanks again.
