dexedrine method of action

does anubody here know dexedrines exact mechanism of action. was just prescribed it today by family physician, while im waiting for the next 6 months for a phychiatrist. (big shortage here in alberta) im taking it for a a.d.d but could it help with social anxiety or dysthymia? thanks for the help.
